In this post, we will continue our exploration of various color words in the realm of AI art. We'll explore different colors, their impact on generated images, and their associations with specific subjects. The images in this video were created using Mid-Journey, the latest version 5 of the AI model. To generate version 5 images, you can add "--V5" to your prompt or select version 5 from the settings menu.

Experimenting with Color Words

When experimenting with AI prompts, I typically use short phrases or words to observe their impact on the generated images. In this video, I've prompted each color word on its own and followed it with various subjects, such as landscapes, wildlife, macro, city, interior, architecture, portrait, fantasy, and sci-fi. Additionally, I've incorporated negative prompts to create better-looking images.

It's important to note that the generated images are meant to provide a rough idea of the AI model's interpretation of the given words. For comparison purposes, I've used the same seed number throughout the prompts (--seed 777).

Exploring Different Colors

Seafoam

Seafoam, a color reminiscent of a cool ocean breeze and gentle wave movements, produces various materials and imagery. From stones and soapy substances to actual sea foam, the generated images align with the sea theme. Landscapes feature wavy seas, wildlife showcases birds and turtles on the beach, and macro images resemble coral formations. 

Peridot

Peridot, named after the gemstone, adds a vibrant green hue to the generated images. The nature-related images showcase a mix of landscapes and gemstone clusters. City images take on a different style, possibly influenced by a character named Peridot in a cartoon. Interior images display macro shots of gemstones, and architecture leans toward using peridot as a building material. Portraits exhibit a range of interpretations, and fantasy and sci-fi images also incorporate the color peridot in their unique ways.

Midnight Black

Midnight black, a classic and timeless color associated with mystery and sophistication, generates images with a luxurious feel. Handbags, watches, and sports cars dominate the imagery, although the quality of the Milky Way images may be distorted. Nature-related images exhibit nice contrasts and details, while architecture-related images maintain a traditional look. Fantasy images showcase dress designs, and sci-fi explores futuristic night-time settings.

Periwinkle

Periwinkle, a color reminiscent of the precious gemstone, produces diverse images ranging from soft yellows to deep browns. It adds a touch of luxury and richness to the generated images. Landscapes feature periwinkle gemstone clusters or figurines, while city images incorporate Periwinkle as a character from a cartoon. Interior images exhibit unique perspectives, and portraits offer a variety of interpretations. Fantasy and sci-fi images showcase different styles and concepts associated with the color periwinkle.

Spring Green

Spring green, a bright and cheerful shade, adds a sense of playfulness and energy to the generated images. Landscapes and wildlife images capture the essence of spring, with blooming flowers and vibrant greenery. Architecture-related images exhibit a range of styles, while portraits offer various interpretations. Fantasy and sci-fi images showcase a combination of nature-inspired designs and futuristic elements.

Ecru

Ecru, a subtle and elegant color often associated with natural and earthy palettes, brings warmth and sophistication to the generated images. Complementary

Complementary colors, which sit opposite each other on the color wheel, create a striking contrast when combined. The generated images reflect a harmonious and unified palette. While nature-related images maintain the default style, landscapes look particularly captivating. City images showcase an orange theme, and portraits exhibit a range of interpretations. Fantasy and sci-fi images display a mix of characters and colorful scenes.

Aquamarine

Aquamarine, a soft blue-green shade reminiscent of tropical waters, adds a calming effect to the generated images.
